During 2018 the Claydon Estate will be hosting a number of art exhibitions set within the Stables in the Courtyard. We are delighted that the first exhibition will be from Alexandra Buckle who will be displaying over 100 prints at her first solo exhibition, including 50 artworks created within last year as part of her #50prints2017 challenge.
“It feels great to be able to share the results of this challenge. It seemed like a tall order this time last year, but the exhibition helped spur me on and I did the last two prints on New Year’s Eve, so I celebrated twice that evening!”
The prints are mainly reduction linocuts and display various scenes from around England, often depicting woodlands or reflective water scenes at various times of day
and year, with an emphasis on light and colour.
The exhibition takes place within the newly refurbished Stables room, opening on the 10th March and continues until the 25th March and is open from 11am-5pm every day except Thursdays and Fridays.
