Claydon Courtyard is a hub for food, art, workshops, wellbeing and retail.
COVID-19 Update: National Lockdown January 2021 - The Phoenix Kitchen and Claydon Courtyard are temporarily closed. We will update our website as soon as we have a re-opening date.
The courtyard was built in 1754 and was once the bustling heart of the estate. It housed workshops, stables, coach houses, estate stores, the laundry, brew house and staff accommodation.
Having been carefully renovated, it now attracts visitors who want to enjoy good food, wish to enrol in a variety of courses and workshops, book a spa day or buy something unique and beautiful. We also have two charming holiday cottages, should you want to extend your stay.
The Phoenix Kitchen serves local, fresh and seasonal food throughout the year. Choose from a selection of homemade cakes, brunches, lunches, afternoon teas, Sunday roasts or simply enjoy a cup of our locally roasted Fairtrade coffee. With delicious daily specials and a children’s menu, there’s something for all the family.
Please note, the National Trust Claydon House and gardens are closed until further notice.
